Here’s a tip. If you are in Madras and if you love doing the kabab and biryani dinner, DO NOT visit the Khyber Grill in Park Sheraton. Very ordinary food a little pricey…not worth it at all.
Its by the pool side and this is kitchen is open apparently for just 3 months in a year (thankfully). The kababs were bland and the only saving grace was the chat masala sprinkled on the kababs. The soup was ok, nothing great though. The rotis were stiff and hard. The biryani had no flavour…the dal / paneer nothing to speak of. Even the sweet toothed KT did not like the gajar halwa. The meal cost us Rs 1200 plus taxes per person for the vegetarian option. We spent a pleasant evening out in the open…but the food was a complete let down.
We would have done much better heading out to The Great Kabab Factory or even Copper Chimney…I think even our steward realise that we were not very enamoured by the meal and didnt bother giving us the feed back form
